Depeche Mode is one of my favorite groups. They were great in the 80's, then sold out IMO in the 90's. They haven't had a good CD since Violator.

Not by me! That was their "grunge" album IMO. They tried to make a grunge album (like everyone else in the early 90's) which doesn't work well for a mostly electronic band.

There's a couple of songs on the album I like - Rush & In Your Room.

The proper genre is Alternative Dance (or I think you could possibly say 'early Electronic rock'). Same with New Order.
