So, when I joined the forums they asked me what denomination/fellow I was apart of.

First thing I noticed was that the fellowship I'm apart of (Assemblies of God) was not even listed.

Second thing I noticed was the "Baptist" were listed.

So then I just shrug it off and go on with life.

Then I start digging through the forum lists on the home page and elsewhere, and guess what....

Once again, the Baptist are listed on the Home page and the Assemblies of God is categorized under "Pentecostal" 2 or 3 categories deep.

I would like to ask the 'powers that be' why you are giving a denomination that is nearly 2/3's smaller (even by combining all their little sects) than the Assemblies of God is denominational preferences?

Adherents.com (and any other list of companies that build such data lists) lists the Assemblies of God 2/3rds larger then the Baptist fellowship, and rightly so. So I would like to purpose that if you are going to have the Baptist listed on the home page, having their own unique category, than it is only right that you provide the members of the Assemblies of God a spot on the home page as well.

Furthermore, categorizing the Assemblies of God with the other "Pentecostal" sects as you guys have is rather... well, not good. There are a plethora of "Pentecostal" sects out there that are far (very far) from what the traditional (and largest) Pentecostal sects believe to be Biblical sound in doctrine.

So, my requests would be:

Provide us a place on the home page with it's own unique category. As stated, we far outnumber, in size of membership, nearly ever religious sect you have listed on the home page. So... please... be fair

As someone who has been around here for a long time-- AND attended both an AoG college for my undergrad work and Assemblies of God Theological Seminary for one of my Master's degrees---

There's not a denominational bias here-- but rather an attempt to group by theological category. Just as there's not a "Southern Baptist", "Free-will Baptist", "Primitive Baptist", etc.-- rather just Baptist/Anabaptist as one major theological grouping based on a common heritage/tradition, the Pentecostal/Charismatics are grouped together as well. And the AoG does run the gamut theologically/stylistically from the very modern (I was on staff at an AoG mega-church for years) to the 'old-fashioned holiness' (I've been to them as well) and everything in between... but stems from one basic heritage.

Those Pentecostals who are 'Oneness', such as UPC, however, are not allowed to use a Christian icon, since they deny the trinity and as such do not accept the Nicene Creed per forum rules.
