Not an easy question to answer.

Some Christians blame every little hick up or problem on the devil but I personally don't want to give him that much credit.
I am sure that God allows things to happen to us so that we will grow and change too. One thing that God and the enemy the devil have in common is that they both want to kill you. The devil just want to kill you outright, but God wants to kill your flesh! I would be asking God to reveal the areas in your life that He might be working on at the moment to start with.
In what way do you mean 'demonic attack'?
Give example if you can.

hi ... i like what pure grace said to you on this :) .... it isn't easy to answer ... and often people either refuse to except satan attacks at all (when he does) or they blame everything on him (which isn't true) .... praying and asking God for discernment if you think you are being attacked is a really good idea, and asking for His protection ... please talk more about this if you need to

Last year when I was a lot closer to the Lord, I felt harassed by spirits. I lived by myself and when I would get home, I would get this fear as I started to walk in the door as if something was watching me. I knew that it couldn't touch me or hurt me but several different times it tried to intimidate me and I could feel the hate. It stopped immediately when I would go to my room. My room was and is my sanctuary where I read, study, and pray. My brother told me after I mentioned this to him what he had heard. My cousins used to own my house, and my cousin, Zack, came home one night and saw his female cousin (no relation to me) lying in the floor with abunch of candles lit and placed around her. Apparently that lady was into some bad stuff. Zack also confirmed this to me. My brother and I annointed the rooms with oil and prayed walking through the house. This helped but didn't stop it completely.

I've only felt this a couple of times recently. I am not a person who walks around fearing things like this. There were times that it would make me mad and I would start praying out loud. I hope that I don't sound like a complete weirdo. :o

Well, I don't really want to focus on this too much, but I'm just talking about series of negative thoughts, accusing thoughts, and evil messages that circulate the mind.

"you're worthless because.."
"you'll never make it.."
"it's too late..."
"you ruined it all..."
"no one likes (or will ever like) you..."
"their kind words are lies, they really hate you..."

etc.

I think this happens most to me when I am focused on me. However, when I "set my mind on things above" namely Christ, these things usually go away.

I experience the same thing, and usually it gets more noticeable when I am spending less time focused on Christ (through prayer, healthy focus on what's important, meditation on the Word, etc.) I have heard that Satan is the tempter as well as the accuser. So it sounds like it's very possible that you are being harrassed, but it doesn't mean anything about who you are other than the fact that you are a Christian who loves God. Remember, even Christ was tempted. So we just have to stay strong and remember what is true. God loves you and has everything good for you. He has plans to prosper you and bless you so much in relationship to him. I wish you the best!

Just a curiousity question: Do you have Christian friends locally to you who are encouragers to you in your faith?
