Are you sure they are not just being friendly and supportive?
Personally I found in my youth that just a smile was enough to make a guy ask me out. So learned to just not smile at men and that it is better to ignore their existence unless it is a professional or I have to speak to them.
Is it possible that these women think that they are protected by marriage and speak to you because of their position to make you feel welcome?
