  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Have you ever seen something in a dream, only to see it later and have a strange sense of familiarity with it?

Theories? Ideas? Considerations of the implications?

a dream i had probably 8 to 9 years ago was, me making out with a woman that had long dark hair but i couldn't see her face. that's all the dream was.

so every girl i have made out with since then, the site of us kissing always resembles that dream and felt like dejavu.

my belief is, that dream showed my desire to have someone to be with physically with and show feelings through physical means, and my preference with women's hair is dark hair and since at the time i was single, the face would have to be blank because there was no one in my life. its nice to have dejavu off and on.

i've been crushing over her ever since i dreamed that dream

Scarily, this happens more often than it should to me. And whats even weirder, is when it happens more than once for the same thing!

I dont understand it, I dont know why they happen, but it geeks me out completely when it does!

What is even more strange, is when it happens around something online.

oh..that's what it is? It's dreams that you've had? I always wondered what causes that..

I have deja vu WAY too much

this isn't my theory but some people think that when you have deja vu it's a sign you're on the right track in life

It doesn't have to be dream-related.

I only mentioned dreams because I saw someone in a dream and I'm almost certain I met them just the other day.

pretty regularly.

Often it will be walking in on a conversation or situation that is the spit of dream I have remembered (which isn't many at all) generally I just close my eyes, and sort of try and avoid the ending, I have this theory that my brain likes to make up the end of my dejavu's because the end of the event that happened in the dreams often end badly, and highly improbable, and its that part that has never happened so far luckily.

It's a glitch in the Matrix...

You knew someone was going to say that.

Seriously, though, there have been times I've felt it. Usually it has to do with a setting rather than a person or an event. It's a convergence of things, and the sense of familiarity makes me wonder if there's not something else I should be paying attention to.

Although I did have a dream (not once, but twice, and both times after the dream ended I experienced the same half-consciousness thing) where I was standing in my grandparents' backyard with two other people, a guy and a girl. The first time I had the dream I'm fairly sure it was my sister and my cousin, but the second time I have no idea who they were, but remembering the dream years later they seemed familiar, as though I might not have met them then, but I had since. Of course, considering they changed from the first to the second time I had the dream, then if I had it a third time now they'd probably change again. I even remember that the first time I had the dream I was in fifth grade, and the second time was roughly a year later.
