I refuse to become members in our local methodist church even though we are more committed than anyone else apart from one older lady. And I know this stance is justified as I have walked this lady through the DEI online course she has to do. I notice her continually sighing, almost despairing. Law and compulsion in church has replaced grace and love. The course does not have a single mention of Christ's unique ministry, person, salvation and atonement. Becuase of course those things are divisive. I know the framers of the course will assert that there are provisions for the 'disciplines' of the church to be observed and protected. But the 'culture' and the politics are leading towards the compromising of the challenging articles of our unique and saving faith.

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
DEI is being 'forced' on those in our church with any roles.
