  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A 'Strong Christian' would be defined as a believer who is able to tear apart several large-print King James Version Bibles in 30 seconds.

'Judging' would be the act of deflecting criticism from oneself by pointing out another's faults.

OK, a little humor. I kid, I kid.

Strong Christian - a Christian who is mature in his/her faith; one who is not "lukewarm"

Judging - discerning; choosing; forming an opinion; evaluating; deciding; also a word seen by many as having negative connotations and used to avoid being corrected by others or to make it seem that that anyone who points out a sin is a bad person - For example:
Person A - "I do ___."
Person B - "___ is a sin"
Person A - "Stop judging me!"

Congrats - most people shy away from this one! Right there on that. Most people miss that the christians put themselves under the same standard. It's not their standard or opinion of right and wrong that's important, it's God's. It's not about getting a one-up, it's about helping someone come away from something that's harmful to them by God's measure.
