Deeds NOT words

So many Christians of the 'born again' version of that religion, whom I have known over the 65 years of my life, have been big on talking the talk, but their deeds have given the lie to any credence their faith had!

The married pastor of the Pentecostal church I was unfortunate to attend in the 50s/60s, used to bring me home from the midweek youth meeting when I was 14. He would stroke the top of my thigh, all the time telling me what a beautiful women my mother was. 'Born again' clergy from other churches had the 'hots' for her too! One of the church elders described to me exactly what he would like to do with my mother in his hay loft!

Whilst I have no problem with sex outside marriage between consenting adults, I do object to people cheating on their partners, which so many of these oh so holy on Sunday people did.

Quite a number of them were not honest in their business dealing either!

Religion certainly doesn't make you a better person, sometimes I have noticed it makes a person worse. Doing good is far more important than the faith you espouse, imo!

Religion breeds evil. Jesus made that quite clear. Just because someone goes to a revival or wiped tears off of their screen after a Billy Graham speech doesn't mean they are Born Again... That term has powerful meaning, but it is often used like a brand name marketing push...

You were abused by sinners who were given control over the church and access to weak and vulnerable people. These people who hurt you did not serve God or Jesus and they consciously and deceptively served satan and tried to influence you in the same direction. They were evil and we will pray for them... but they are not Christian, not saved, not born again, and not representative of my God and Lord and Savior. Hopefully they will meet Jesus BEFORE they hurt more people and before they stand in judgement.

Hate religion with the passion that Jesus sometimes did... it will make you feel better superficially... but you need Jesus, not these idiots masquerading as His heraldry. If you truly want to learn about Jesus I can message you some resources... but I cannot counsel you on your abuse and you need to get help from a woman who has a strong faith basis. Posting on here and directing anger at religion will do nothing but invite responses from people that may damage you further.
