  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Apparently my debt was settled for a low amount ($3,000) and bankruptcy to get my medical debt discharged is a bad idea thus says my lawyer.

First of all, I do not think 3000 dollars is a low amount. Maybe in rich people speak it is. That was basically my entire savings. Second of all I don't have any money to settle the medical debt. Settlements require money -__-.

As far as I'm concerned I was robbed by the creditor and the U.S. Justice system and still being robbed. They are getting 3,000 for a car they repossessed and got back after all of 3 days. Not only that car was only worth 1000 to begin with and they charged me 10000. And they got my trade in car. No damage was done to them what so ever yet a judge with no law degree gives them my money when they issued me a court appearance they didn't even send to the right address.

If I ever find a way to publicly shame this company on media I will.

How is it even possible for a judge to have no law degree? Where are you located?

Arizona and he's a Justice of the Peace that got voted in. From what a lawyer told me Justice of the Peace just need votes they don't need any legal knowledge. The lawyer had been practicing for 20 years. Idk but all of it seems like a sham. My mom was like well... You signed that auto lease contract you get what you get cause you made those debts. I still think it's unfair for a contract to make someone pay like that but whatever. I just hope they suffer for what they did sometime in this life.

So you believe that people should be allowed to enter contracts and then break them whenever they want without penalty? Would you feel the same about a rent lease for 1 year, being broken by the landlord who tells you to leave after only 3 months? What about if you got a loan for school or a car......and then the lender change their mind and takes back the car and stops you from going to school for any reason. Do you feel that they would have a right to do that and no penalties should incur if they did?

Your mom's a smart and wise lady.

It's everyone's fault but yours, huh?
