Debt...Leprosy....

We are very blessed to have a Prophet that gives such excellent counsel on nearly every topic there is....debt included.

I do believe things are going to get very bad, financially, in our world, soon....and if there ever was a time to follow this counsel, it is now.

Money management was a popular subject growing up. We were expected to live within our means. There are moments when I wanted things and my parents said no. So I called my grandparents!

Plenty was a mainstay. When needs arose we didn’t have to look outside the fold. Helping one another was deeply ingrained. It went beyond immediate family.

The pandemic drove it home. I didn’t have to worry about them. Houses and cars were paid. Little to no credit card debt. It was a breath of fresh air.

The shortages and inflation reiterated that point. Watching prices rise and skyrocket for certain items is unbelievable. We’re beating them to the punch where necessary. But reality is astounding. I wonder what people will do.

Yes, I'm so thankful! We should be out of debt in about 3 weeks! Still have a little on credit cards, but that will be gone very soon, too. It's such a RELIEF to not have to worry about! and yes, I too, can't help but wonder what people will do when times get really hard. So many have no clue as to how to cook from scratch, or to grow a garden, to fix a patch on clothes, to treat illnesses with herbs they can forage for themselves, and the list goes on and on....

All you’ve said is true. It’s unreal to imagine the suffering and lack. I’ve never seen anything like it. Nor have most.
