  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Maybe death is better than living with lung cancer. For the person who dies it is the end of the suffering. For those left behind it is a time to remember all life is fleeting and each day is precious. Also, a time to remember the times shared with the loved one who has passed.

I'm a fan of the old Twilight Zone with the young Robert Redford in it.

I have spent the last few days watching my grandmother dying of lung cancer. All I can say is death really sucks. I will miss her, but I believe I will see her again.
It sounds as if death was a blessing for her, she was a grandmother so she had lived her life with love in it.

We all die that's why we invented so many Gods.

Having seen my immediate family whittled down leaving only me, I agree death TOTALLY sucks! BUT is was through tragedy that I developed my personal relationship with Jesus. Of course I still miss my family, and have a low day from time to time, but I find peace in knowing that they are waiting for me in God's kingdom.

I'm not 30, but I've seen allot death during the span of my young life, from my younger sister to friends and extended family. Its not something you get used to, how can anyone get used to the punishment of sin? Death, is mankind's biggest fear, whether it be their own or the death of others.

One thing I have learnt though, is that the people we love can still live on after death and not only by that individual having faith in the gospel, but in the memories that we carry of them. Learn from the bad times and cherish the good times.

Hard times build character, through death it has forced me to ask questions and seek answers which I found in the gospel.

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

I'm sorry for your loss, dying is somtimes slow and painful, death on the otherhand is a very exciting experience, and since I have made Jesus my Lord and my Savior I actually look forward to it. that may sound crazy since I have a wife and three year old son, (I never consider helping myself to the otherside) but in light of how the bible speaks about our time here "Its but a vapor" I really look forward to Jesus return and His Eternal Kingdom, believe it or not, ideally I hope I die giving my testimony for Christ. however the way things are going in this world that may not be to far off

My FIL just passed away 12:15am yesterday. The family was all with him in the hospital when he died of prostate cancer. We all know he is in heaven with the Lord now and is free of pain and suffering. He's probably cuddling with all the white lambs he can handle! :) He was a farmer and loved it.
