Death Note

I started watching Death Note when it came out and it is one of my favorite animes so far. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's about a high school student named Light who finds a notebook called Death Note. He can write someone's name in the notebook and picture there face and they will die. He can also manipulate the times of death and how they die.

Good stuff. Animation is done very well and I really like the OP and ED songs.

Never read the manga and probably won't since the anime version is supposedly very faithful to the original.

I've seen the first movie... it was REALLY bad.

Tatsuya Fujiwara (from Battle Royale) just looks too innocent to play Light. Then they took out the monologue explaining their reasoning which really destroys a lot of the story, but the worst thing they did was adding a girlfriend he didn't have and changing the story so her existence would fit. The CGI for Ryuk was actually ok.

ilike the manga, havnt watched much of the anime though, but from what i saw, the animation is really good and L is awsom! hes my favorite character out of all of them

I've read most of the manga and anime, and seen the first movie (my best friend plans to get the second one next pay day ^___^ ). I couldn't read it after what happened to L. ;-;

I do plan to read/buy volume 12 when it comes out so that I can finally see how it ended.

I watched the first couple of episodes and was pleased that they were doing a good job at it but for this series I am pretty much was just a manga reader. The first movie left me a bit cold because they changed aspects of the storyline for no real good reason but I still want to see the second movie because that is where the storyline really began to get interesting.

It's one of my favorites too. I got a lot of my friends hooked too.

I've been watching the anime as it releases. I can't wait for next Tuesday.
