I am almost DONE QUILTING!! I have been working on my dear jane quilt forEVER!! I am doing it all by hand....anybody else quilt by hand?? What did you make?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love to do arts and crafts but quilting is to complex for me. I would have very bloody hands I commend you for your gift. I like to pen pal and do bible correspondence with owmen. I have a ministry. My favorite craft is to make flower arrangements, friendship books, and do art activities with the kids.
I have recently decided when I get some extra money I will get some supplies and begin to paint. I love to draw but Im ready for something new. I would like to learn to sew dresses for my daughter if anyone has any patterns or ideas they can send me or share.

I just jump into things. Never sewed anything in my life. I don't know much about sewing machines. So far everyone really likes my quilt. I got 'gift' fabrics from someone across the country...all civil war reproduction fabrics. this gal just sent them to me out of kindness. My quilt looks pretty much like the original...slightly different colors though. If you go to Dearjane.com they have the original photographed there.
WoGm....I would love to try oil painting. We don't have enough room right now and I'd prolly want to go to a community college and learn the basics. I do paint all of the Halloween costumes and that's fun. I was a 'postcard' this year and last year I painted the front and back of circles and we were pennies! I was a wheatie and my kid was 1994 cent.("Our BOO cents worth!) It was fun. Painted the Moon (I was "mother" earth)and about three years ago I painted SpongeBobSquarePants and Patrick. I enjoy painting very much...would love to do some serious painting though.
I don't sew clothes for my daughter simply because my idea of 'cute' is complete 'dog child' to her! Spend all that time sewing and she wouldn't wear it because of that 'tude' business...
Some times I get wild, fun ideas....I'll post if I got any...K?
