  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I went back 10 pages of posts looking for a general Dean Koontz thread and couldn't find it! So if I'm repeating something, forgive me! =)

I'm interested in starting to read Koontz's works, but I'm not sure where to start! I own False Memory (I think that's the title) and The Taking, so I'll start with those, I guess. But I just wanted to see if there was a title that was the obvious one to start with!

So if anyone has any suggestions, please pass them along!

I own about 30 of his books, but I stopped reading him a couple of years ago; The Face was the last one. Like Stephen King, Koont's work has shriveled over time. If you are a new Koontz reader, I'd suggest diving into some of his old. paperbacks. Try: The Bad Place, Mr. Murder, Phantoms, Watchers and Lightning. You'll notice a complete difference. The Bad Place is such a well written book, Mr. Murder is a swift thriller, Phantoms is one of the scariest books I've read, Watchers is a classic and Lightning is completely inventive. Enjoy!
