Did anyone see the show Monday night?

He's insane for trying these stunts but he's really driven to succeed. I'm impressed by his preparation & willingness to take such chances. I guess he'll either succeed or die trying.

I thought it took awhile to get him hooked up to oxygen. I also thought they were a little slow in wrapping him up with blankets.

I enjoy David Blaine, but there's something about him that very scary too. And I don't just mean the tricks he does.

Well, like I said in the other thread over in the New Forum, I think his illusions are bull. When he tours the country doing his "illusions" live without video tricks and paid actors, then I'll have a different opinion.

I don't see it. Failure is the worst thing that can happen. Magicians & illusionists don't get second chances to get it right.

I am skeptical of his "street" magic. I tend to think his stunts are real especially the underwater stunt because if it was staged, he would have broken the record.

yeah, if it was fixed his underwater stunt would have not failed like it did.....and 7 minutes and 8 seconds holding your breath is very impressive.....thats 7 minutes longer then i can hold my breath

I heard someone attached a hamburger to a toy helicopter and flew it by his little bubble. I figure that is just a silly rumor but I still think it is hilarious. I've never watched his shows or anything... but I became interested in him when I heard about his failed stunt. I read about the liver damage, too.

I agree. I read that he lost like 50 pounds before doing the stunt because that was supposed to help with holding his breath; I also read that he fasted for about a week beforehand so he wouldn't have any solid waste issues while in the tank. Why would anyone put their body through that kind of crap? Seems insane.
