CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not me ... I've been on plentyoffish dot com ... but I get the impression that not much is happening thru the dating sites.
In the Boston area there is a lot of stuff that is happening thru meetup.com .. this is an interest based meeting.

I am currently on Christian Mingle. I met one man that all he wanted was...you know. I am currently speaking with 2 other gentlemen so I am hopeful and prayerfully considering meeting them. The sad thing is that you have to weed out the bad guys just like any other dating site. But it is nice to meet christian men that truly live for Christ. The site does have a chat program, an IM program and a forums which are nice. The only thing is paying the 30 bucks per month or biting the bullet and buying 6 months or more.
I haven't been on the site long...not even a month. I do find it enjoyable. Hope that helps some.

The correct answer is no this is not a dating site. But I heard from others that people have gotten to know each other through here and then gotten married.

It is hard to find that period. The ones that profess they have Christ at the center are always looking for perfection in their mates even if they aren't perfect. They seem to have forgotten that we are all works in progress and will be to our dying day.
Btw I quit Christian Mingle and just joined zoosk. I am getting a much better response from zoosk.

Yes, I just joined Christian Mingle. I'm still a guest member, so I can't interact with anyone there yet. I mailed a check as payment last week from New York to Los Angeles, because I didn't want to give them a credit card number. (The whole "negative option billing" business irritates me) So I'm still waiting for them to receive my payment, and make me a full member. I'm getting a little frustrated waiting.
I'm really hoping to find "Miss Right" there, so I don't have to be lonely anymore.

I was on Christian Mingle 4 years with no luck. Watch out for scammers on any site-when they say they are in offshore oil drilling that is a sign! I am in Plenty of Fish with no luck. I heard about a new one called Fusion101.com. It is a free christian dating site. I tried signing up for E-harmony several times and after spending a LONG time doing their questionnaire was told I was one of the 10% of people they could not help! LOL!! I hear this happens to alot of people!
