I didn't even watch the game. I was too busy putting a newspaper together. And the problem with playing best-friend in the hopes of getting a date is that the girl actually ends up being my friend and I really do end up caring about them being happy.

You can still care about them and be a friend, but just don't be a doormat, you don't deserve that.

I don't even think people realize they're using others in situations like this, so yeah, just don't get inadvertantly taken advantage of. If you're the only one with an emotional attachment in that, you stand more of a chance of getting hurt, and it's not her fault or anything, you guys are just going in with different agendas.

Side note, it's hard to get repect when you're easy to walk on.

Not saying anything, just saying is all.

I know what you mean, but it's like part of my nature. I see someone who needs help and I want to help them, even if they do end up walking all over me...

I used to, I'm sure to some degree I still do, but I'm aware of it now and I don't let it happen. Just trying to look out for you is all.

i just joined up here and thought i'd look around when i came across this forum...it's great to read about single christians banding together and having a good time getting to know each other and helping each other out....all i can say is Awesome!

Two questions.

1) Hypothetical situation-- you're walking to the supermarket, buying something, and walking home. In that time, what opportunities would you have to talk to people? Give examples of how you might meet a potential friend (or girlfriend) in so doing. Just examples.

2) Any peeps in central FL? (Guys or gals.. I need friends too!)

Yeah I was suppoes to go on a hay ride but it's raining out. The person I was suppose to go with left a message on answering machine saying she was not going because of the rain and that she was going to the mall and not try to call her.
