She didn't seem to take offense (if she did, I'd hope that she'd say something), and I didn't really see anything that was out of line. We're all just having fun with each other and the posts were in good fun. Try not to be too oversensitive. That's not the point of this thread.rainbowprism said:Thithy and Spacedout...I don't believe you meant to be but even I found what you said hurtful and it wasn't directed at me. Please be a little bit more considerate of our Christian sister.
I'd rep you if I could, but it says I have to spread some points around before I rep you again.Out of the Flames said:She didn't seem to take offense (if she did, I'd hope that she'd say something), and I didn't really see anything that was out of line. Hey, it's the thought that counts, right? Somebody's got to keep things from getting serious!jenptcfan said:I'd rep you if I could, but it says I have to spread some points around before I rep you again.
I hope all my dateless waif friends are doing well. I haven't checked in in awhile, but I'm still alive and kickin'!
I'm not very dateless right now (but I wouldn't mind being more dateless)...it seems like in order for me to have time to date, I have to sacrifice something else. My house is a wreck, my yard is a wreck, I haven't run in two weeks, and I haven't read anything besides my bible in weeks. I think I have a problem with priorities.
Sorry to hear about yr accident, I'm glad to hear you found something that works well for you... I don't know much about the chemical content, but my favorite soap is the Chandrika ayurvedic soap, I get it at the health food store!bubblegirl23 said:I use the natural soaps I can complete with bacterial killersThe soap base isn't what makes me so sick - it's the fragrances & moisturising chemicals etc.
I bathe often and clean my own bathroom.
Here's a challenge for you: find a soap in your supermarket that does not contain any laureats, EDTAs, tetrasodiums, titanium dioxides. It won't be easy, but they are out there!
We aren't hippies eitherBefore I became sick from the chemical accident at 16 I was perfectly normal and so was my home life.
lilray said:so, speaking of hippies.. how many of us went through a "hippie phase"?!?!.. come on guys, admit it... **lilray slowly raises her hand**
I wasn't meaning for it to be mean. I'm not even sure how I was hurting anyone. I was responding to Spacedout's message about the guy who didn't bathe. It wasn't at all being directed towards anyone else.rainbowprism said:Thithy and Spacedout...I don't believe you meant to be but even I found what you said hurtful and it wasn't directed at me. my phase only lasted a few years but i still love to listen to G-dead - "unbroken chain" still being my fav.. wasn't a big fan of Phish either. still will go see live music - you ever listen to Psydecar?.. i like to see them live. remnants would have to be bustin' out the hippie dance and live music... but i would like to add i was never an overzealous spinner in my hippie-dancin' days.spacedout said:Yep, mine lasted about 9 years! I don't feel like much of a hippie these days, but people still tell me I'm one. Whatever's clever, I guess... When I was playing hippie, I don't think most of the other hippie-types trusted me much; probably because I wasn't a hardcore activist or a rabid Jerry-worshipper or overzealous Phish fan like they were. (Never much cared for the post-Dead jambands-- Phish, DMB, String Cheese, etc.)
Are any aspects of yr hippie phase that you continue to retain?
Unbroken Chain is one of my favorite Dead tunes also...lilray said:my phase only lasted a few years but i still love to listen to G-dead - "unbroken chain" still being my fav.. wasn't a big fan of Phish either. still will go see live music - you ever listen to Psydecar?.. i like to see them live. remnants would have to be bustin' out the hippie dance and live music... but i would like to add i was never an overzealous spinner in my hippie-dancin' days.
they're from San Diego.. not sure where they tour exactly since they're from here they always play at some point around here. never heard of Ozric Tentacles!??!.. i'll look out for them next time i get the fever for some good music.spacedout said:Haven't heard (of) Psydecar, where are they from? The last good "hippie" band I saw live was Ozric Tentacles... Love 'em!
Nice to see there's at least one other recovering hippie around here!
You may be waiting a while-- Ozrics are from the UK, they tour here once every 5 years or so. This means I'll have to wait until 2009 to see them again, unless I go to England.lilray said:they're from San Diego.. not sure where they tour exactly since they're from here they always play at some point around here. never heard of Ozric Tentacles!??!.. i'll look out for them next time i get the fever for some good music.

I'll keep an eye open for Psydecar.
I always liked hugging the Jeffrey pines the best, because they smell like vanilla...lilray said:Oh nice! Thanks man.. get me all excited about a band and then tell me I gotta leave the continent to see them.
