Since I can't give you physical evidence as in, "here is God." I'll just ask questions:

How can mutations (recombining of the genetic code) create any new, improved varieties? (for example Recombining English letters will never produce Chinese books.)

Which evolved first (how, and how long, did it work without the others)? a) The digestive system, the food to be digested, the appetite, the ability to find and eat the food, the digestive juices, or the bodys resistance to its own digestive juice (stomach, intestines, etc.)? b) The drive to reproduce or the ability to reproduce? c) The lungs, the mucus lining to protect them, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs? d) DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message to cell parts? e) The termite or the flagella in its intestines that actually digest the cellulose? f) The plants or the insects that live on and pollinate the plants? g) The bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or muscles to move the bones? h) The nervous system, repair system, or hormone system? i) The immune system or the need for it?

I mean, didn't you come on here to gather soul's for Christ? I'm more then willing to convert back to Christianity the moment I see some compelling evidence-surely your God can give that to me, can't he? He didn't just create me to be ******, did he?

That's awfully cruel of a supposedly "good" God, isn't it?

Seeing as how this particular forum is under the "Open Discussion & Debate" section and is open to both Christians and non-Christians, yes, I have a right to be here.

However, this particular forum is entitled "Science, Creation & Evolution", and is set up for the purpose of discussing matters relating to those subjects. If people just want to preach, there are other forums here that are better suited for that.

How much do I know about christians?

A bit. Not as much as other people I have talked to, but the things that I know that are relavant to this conversation are,

1) Christians can be respectable scientists.
2) Christians can accept evolution.
3) Accepting evolution will not hurt salvation.
4) God could have created through evolution.
5) False information is supposable considered by christians to be bad.
6) The same slipper slope that creationists claim will happen if the bible was not taken literally was proposed during the Geocentric vs Heliocentric debate, yet here we are, believing in a heliocentric model and we did not fall down that slippery slope.
7) Literal creationism was falsified before Darwin Ever wrote his famous book.

Blixy, this is going nowhere fast. The evos have obviously practiced there insults and rebukes to well for us to beat them through logic. WE aren't going to hell, be satisfied with that.

It's not my power to convert, but God who brings the increase. I'm just the instrument in which he uses to preach the gospel.

Why would God stoop to our level in trying to convince us of something we already know, like Him exsisting. Romans has stated that God has made things that points glory to Him so we would be without excuse on the day of judgment.

He didn't just create me to be ******, did he?
He created you for His pleasure. He wants you to come home with him. But also one would not flatter himself in thinking we don't rightly deserve hell. Do you actually think you deserve to go to heaven? Are you perfect? we have all rebelled against God and His commandment. Get right with Him through the cross of calvary.

Your definition of 'good' is mistaken because if God is good He must by nature punish crimes commited, laws broken, sin!!. His laws, the Ten Commandment, are what we all have broken and we must be punished. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Or maybe it is because people like you have been through the forum before. (I.e. start by a making a bunch of ridiculous and untrue assertations, get called on it, backpeddle, and finally give up)

I notice in Blix's case, he switched gears repeatedly, going from evolution & Darwin to the origin of the universe to the existence of God and now back to evolution.

If you want to succeed in these debates (or even last longer than a week or two), then:

a) Read up as much material on both the creationism and evolution as you can, from as many sources as you can.
b) Understand that material and be able to avoid the more common fallacies (i.e. evolution=atheism) spread by some creationists.
c) Spend some time lurking and also check out the archives to see what types of things get discussed; most of the time, it's simply a rehash of ground that gets covered ad nauseam. Hence, people have little patience for it when someone else tries bringing up the same tired arguments.

Folk, we dont live on accident. God gave us a conscience (means with knowledge), he wrote his law on our hearts so we would know, with knowledge, right from wrong. We know its wrong to steal, its wrong to lie, we know its wrong to commit adultery, we know its wrong to commit murder. We know that God should be first and foremost in our affections.
The bible says, "God has appointed a day where hell judge the world in righteousness." There will be a day of justice for all of humanity! Murderers will stand before God and God will reveal his just indignation, his anger against murderers; so will rapists, bur so will thieves, and liars, and fornicators, and blasphemers. And judge yourselves, have you kept the Ten Commandments? Have you lied, stolen, looked with lust and committed adultery, or hated someone and committed murder in your heart, or blasphemed God? Then you would be found guilty on the Day of Judgment and end up in hell.

You see some of you would say, "I dont believe in hell," but that doesnt matter for you will still have to face God on judgment day whether you believe in him or not. If you were walking down a highway and a truck was heading for you, and you dont believe in trucks; the truck doesnt disappear. The same thing with God, there will be a day where he will judge you. He is not willing that you should perish, God doesnt want you to go to hell. God provided a way for you to be forgiven and have eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Folks, whats wrong with someone, dont you think about the issues of eternity? Dont you know that death can snatch you away today? It so inherited in human nature when tragedy strikes us, were in a car accident, or we get cancer. We say, "Oh! I thought it would never happen to me." Well folks, we are all part of the same statistic 10 out of 10 people die. Death will happen to you and it could happen today. So what are you going to do about it? What are you going to do on the Day of Judgment, on the Day of Wrath? Are you going to put it off, just the thought of it? Are you too fearful to think soberly about the issues of eternity? Because the only thing that keeps you living is the grace of God you cant guaranty your next breath. That comes from a gift from God.

God provided a way for you to be forgiven and have eternal life in Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered and died on that cross taking the punishment, the wrath of God upon himself for your sins. He died for your lies, for your theft, for your adultery. So God doesnt have to judge you as a lying, thieving, and adulterer at heart. The bible says, "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." He took the punished that you rightly deserved and rose from the dead and defeated death. Jesus Christ has abolished death and brought life, immortality, and light through the gospel. The moment you repent (turn from your sins once and for all) and put your faith in Jesus Christ, God will forgive you of your sins and grant you everlasting life. No longer will you have to try and earn your way into heaven because, "salvation is a free gift from God, not by works; least anyone should boast."

If I will succeed in this debate I will do one thing and one thing only. Obviously you know God exsists whether deny Him or not. None of here on this forum will have any excuse when we come face to face with God and he pulls up everything we have ever done. One thing is for sure either you will accept that Christ is Lord on earth or you will accept He when you face Him. Regardless every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess (everyone here on the forum) that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Trying to convert people to Christianity via fear of God is a poor method that is destined to fail in the long run. If the only reason people choose to believe in God is "fire insurance", then they might as well subscribe to any belief system that threatens them.

According to Islam, for example, you are a Hell-bound infidel.

Qu'ran [3:85] - If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

Qu'ran [48:13] - And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger, then surely We have prepared burning fire for the unbelievers.

But do you feel any desire to change your ways and embrace Allah?

In other words, you could not prove evolution is false, nor could you provide evidence for god, so as your last defense you go into preaching mode.

This is not the forum for this. There are other forums for it, however, may I suggest going there.

Pete is right, you are going to go to hell if you dont believe in Allah. so I would suggest you change, because all will be judged by allah, and all those found not submitting to him are going to hell.

Agreed. That's why I got burned out on the creation/evo forum after about a year.

What gets me is there are plenty of fresh threads created by "evolutionists" falsifying creationism, but such threads routinely get ignored by creationists. Of course, creationist propoganda seemly largely dependent on the ignorance of its followers.

Actually it's worse then that-Her God has told her to preach, in order to convert people-yet did not provide her the ability to do so convincingly. God's just getting a kick out of seeing how frustrated she'll become.

But hey, I'm going to hell because I'm evil-yet I don't see how you will be in paradise knowing someone who could have gone to heaven, isn't because God didn't give you (or anyone) the proper tools for the job.

I know I couldn't live in heaven if my fellow humans were suffering eternal torture in hell. That doesn't sound like paradise to me, yet you and especially Mega seem almost giddy at the prospect of being right.

Actually you are both wrong, Ancient Egyption religion is the way to go. Think about it, you can live as you like and at the end, cast a few spells and not only are you golden-but the bad parts of you are melted away...
