CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know Dark Shadows. It's one of those old Soap Opera based sci-fi/dracula shows. I remember seeing it a few years ago, but I can't recall what station was broadcasting it. I've always been a fan of classic cult tv shows (brady bunch, partridge family, leave it to beaver, columbo, etc) It's originally from the 60s or 70s isn't it? I probably wouldn't watch it now, but at the time that I saw it, I remember thinking it was kind of funny to watch. The major problem I had with it was that there were seances and vampires, etc., on it. So that is not something I would want to be involved with at present.
I just wanted to let you know that I know what it is, so you wouldn't feel that nobody did.

Dark Shadows was on ABC. It ran from June 26 1966 to April 2 1971. I liked that it was scary. It used to be on tne SciFi Channel but they don't show it anymore. So I started getting it on DVD.

I remember watching Dark Shadows when it was a soap opera (in real time), and was disappointed when they took it off the air. But I hadn't really thought about it much lately. Is it in reruns out there anywhere?

I loved the show too. I was disappointed when they took it off the air because it left a lot of loose ends.

Can one still be a fan if one preferred the Dark Shadows revival in the 1990's? That was much creepier...and they did a wonderful job with the stage sets. Far better than the original, IMHO. That house they used for Collinwood was just incredible.
Now...I'm going to ask a weird question about that series...Nowhere, and I do mean nowhere, can I find who played Jeremiah Collins.
Does anyone know, and does anyone know how he came to be left out of the credits?
