Dante's Inferno is now a game?

I just saw the new game Dante's Inferno in my local game store.

I'd reccomend looking it up before commenting.

What do people think of the look of this game? I'd never play this game because it seems to glorify satans relm as some sort of epic world which is great.

I'd rather read the great piece of litratue which is the real Dante's Inferno.

The ironic thing is that the people working on the game are probably Athiests

So what do people think? Do you think this glorifies satan? Do you think this a great idea? Or do you think it's a harmless representation of Hell?

We downloaded the demo when it first came out. It could have been an interesting game if they would have been true to Dante's work.

By the time we got to the point that there was a naked woman writhing on a Church altar... the game got deleted.

Have you played the game? As someone who's finished it a couple of times now, I can hardly say that it glorifies satan or makes hell look like a good place. It depicts the struggle of a man trying to retrieve his wife while struggling with his inner demons because of the atrocities he commited during the crusades. It makes hell look rather unpleasant place to stay.

That said, it isn't fully true to the original text, especially in it's depiction of Beatrice. It's a fun hack and slash, but hardly fantastic story telling. I would recommend the God of War or Devil May Cry series instead.

I personally didn't like it. I made it some way into the game, but stopped when I was battling some mostly naked demon monster with little demons coming out of her nipples. I don't think it glorified satan or hell, but it's artistic tastes just weren't for me. And the story was no where near compelling enough for me to keep playing.

IMO, read the book. Don't play the game.

You do realize the whole point of the game was to make Hell look horrifying, right?

Ok, I have seen trailers, screenshots, and a bit of gameplay. The game is messed up in my opinion. You battle these crazy looking demons and etc. It didn't really look that much fun either.
