  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So who dances here? For all who do, do you make a habit of picking up different moves when you see them or is it more of a freestyle and letting your body move to however the groove hits you?
Since I am retired,I can now go to two different senior centers, for those over 50 years old,for ballroom dancing,in the afternoons. While still going to the gym, three times a week, ballroom dancing helps keep my blood sugar from going up too high. And,dancing helps keep my weight down, and my pants loose. The nice thing about senior centers is,that there are always more women than men,at these dances. Therefore,I get ample time to socialize,as well as exercise.

I've got no internal sense of rhythm and I sometimes get off beat when I'm clapping even when I'm focusing on it, so I avoid dancing. My mom dances in the worship service though if that counts for anything.

There is one thing, that,I wish I had known at 23 years old. I am now 63 years old.Women,in general, just love to dance. You do not have to be a great dancer like Gene Kelly,or Fred Astire,as long as you are on the dance floor, making an effort.she will enjoy your company.
Another thing, that I have observed, is that most young men are scared to ask a young lady to dance, thinking that she will say,"NO!",therefore rejecting him.
But,while you are approaching her, watch her body movements. If she is bouncing around to the beat of the music, there is a 95% chance that she will say,"Yes!" One time,I approached a lady bouncing around to the music. I asked her to dance. She told me,"NO!" I did not give up. I told her,"That is strange. You mouth said,"No!" But,you body was saying,"Yes!" She then looked at me. Then, she started to dance with me!

I set up a dance mixer at our church. Some of the college kids set up one too. I am working on another. It is pretty cool. We had someone come in and teach dance sessions.

Well that's not entirely true. I do like dancing with the wind, whenever she wishes. I also dance quite frequently during Spring, because of bees that come forth. but my dance with bees is quite shameful. lol

I get out dancing once or twice a month. I prefer freestyle, that way I don't have tho think I can get out of my mind for a while and let my body move to the music get some exercise which a desperately lead after sitting in the office way too many hours.
