Dancing Before God!

Just think, won't it be so awesome when we get to Heaven and all the worship music will be played and we will dance before God as David and the others have. Those of us who didn't know how to dance down here on earth will have our Spiritual Dancing Shoes on..

I will admit I look forward to that. My kids won't be able to laugh at me while I dance, because I will finally be able to dance.

Hi, Godspeak,

My name is Margolit, and I am relatively new to CF.

Yes, indeed, won't it be glorious!!! I am reminded of the opening lines to a worship song we sing in our congregation, "As David Did":

"As David did in G-d's own sight,
I will dance with all my might
Before the King of Kings."

And, really, isn't that what it all should be about, anyway?!

"Let them praise His name with dancing..." Ps.149:3a

I spent so many years of Dancing and Gymnastics then when I was old enough I began teaching both even at church. Through years of poor self- esteem and getting hurt I quit. I can't allow my self to do it. I can't wait tell the chains that bind are broken and I can once again do it.

For my whole life I have often prayed, "Oh, Jesus, I want to see Your face." I can't wait to get to Heaven & hug Jesus! To bow before Jesus. To sing & to dance freely before Him without any restraints! Oh, what a day that will be!

For some of us that means being totally free of any physical impediments, aches and pains gone forever, having unimaginable strength and stamina as we worship Him.

And He, being Lord of the Dance, will be leading us and dancing with us, in such love, such joyfulness and abandon as we never known, but have waited for and longed for.

I am reminded of the the words to a song we sing in our congregation, "Lover of my Soul",

"Dance with me,
Oh lover of my soul,
to the song of all songs"

And He will!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about low self-esteem and getting hurt leading you to quit teaching. I, too, have been where you are. It is a very special gift, but not always an easy one to share. You didn't say if you quit dancing altogether; I hope not.

Take heart, and know that Yeshua sees you as a beautiful, sweet soul, and longs to hold you and dance with you Himself.....as a bridegroom does His bride. For indeed, that's exactly what you are: His lovely Bride!
And that is something nothing or no one can change, belittle or take away from you!

I will pray for you, that the chains that bind you will be broken, so that you'll be able to dance before Him and with Him, once again, with that special joy and freedom that only it can bring.
