  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What do you mean by 'dance music'? Be a little more specific. There's a lot of different genres that are labelled as dance music, you know.

If you mean strictly on the basis that it doesn't concern religion, it's perfectly fine for a Christian to listen to it. Once you actually delve into the lyrics, then use discernment. Not everybody can listen to songs that talk about certain subjects and not be affected. Listening to something that conflicts with your beliefs isn't always bad, but there needs to be a line drawn somewhere on what you can handle and stay strong and what you can't handle and should steer clear from. Hopefully this would be done with God's guidance and the guidance of those around you to know what your personal limits are.

I'll fall back to the standard saying about any Christian that wants to know if listening to any type of 'secular' music is ok. If the lyrics make you uncomfortable, stay away from that song. But don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
