Does anyone know where I can sample some of their songs? I've heard that they're brilliant, but for some reason the song samples on amazon.com aren't working and I don't have an MP3 player (all the ones I've tried have blown) to download a few songs.

Also , I have read some of their lyrics and so far have found nothing offensive (half of the songs I've heard have consisted of one word ), but do any Christians find them offensive?

I think Daft Punk is great. I've only heard 3 songs though, but I loved them! I do not think there are enough lyrics to have a chance at being offensive .

They have a great sound
Anything I have heard from them is amazing. Great beat.

You should for sure check them out. They are a bit older, so maybe try a local used record shop for one of their cds?

I have their Discovery album. Great stuff.

For an MP3 player, I'd suggest Winamp 2.95 (everything after 2.x is nasty ). Works like a charm if you're using Windows, that is. You won't find 2.95 on the main site since it's an old version, but there are a few sites that still have it up for download.

Winamp 5 is great, it's the first media library system that I actually like.

Well, I'm not too crazy for media libraries, and Winamp 3 and 5 are way too bloated and cumbersome, IMO. It's the same reason I hate iTunes' media player (especially since the Music Store requires you to open the media player, which then steals your associations away ) or Windows Media Player 7, 8, 9, and 10. I still use WMP 6.5 (mplayer2.exe) for most of my video files (either that, Media Player Classic, or Quicktime for Windows). It's just a matter of opinion. If someone doesn't mind it, then by all means, go ahead and get the newest version. It's their prerogative. I just don't personally recommend it because I don't care for the way the newer versions are.

Of course, I also think it would be great if Betamax became a serious contender in the consumer VCR department again.

Yeah I thought that might be a ridiculous question, but I'm lazy and it's much easier to ask, rather than read through all their lyrics (though I doubt that would have taken long )


Thanks for the MP3 player suggestions, I'm going to download both and see which one I like best
