  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

“If ya want to know about the blues, ya got’s to go back to church." MUDDY WATERS

What a quote. I ran across it a while back when I visited a Christian music website. How true it is, to know and understand the blues a person has to step outside the realm of depression, self-pity, anxiety, and blaming others for our condition. It’s hard to see the light of understanding when the darkness of our situation surrounds us on all sides. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). Ya got’s to know Jesus to understand the blues. You have to have light shinning on your circumstances to understand and work through them. Life is not all mountain top living. It would be nice to always be on top of the world, but that’s not the way it is. We all have valleys in our lives, and as we walk through them we don’t have to be in the dark. What a comfort it is to walk through a valley with someone who has walked that way before us. If no one is near to us, we can rest assured that Jesus has walked that valley and will light our path. My preacher says that mountain top experiences are nice, but nothing grows on top of a mountain. Down in the valley is where the lilies grow. May I stay green and grow so that I can appreciate the mountain tops of life. May I stay, teachable. Today God is doing for me what I could not do for myself. Thanks for letting me share…….JRE

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in a man.
Psalm 118:8

"Only through utter defeat are we able to take our first steps toward liberation and strength. Our admission of personal powerlessness finally turn out to be firm bedrock upon which happy and purposeful lives may be built."
