Customized Daily Weather!

I've reinstalled the Daily Weather function onto our homepage.

Members can customize and choose their country, state and city to get updated fresh daily weather information on the Christian Forums homepage.

Mine isn't working Erwin, it tells me there is a technical error.

Ok I got my state and city updated, but when i click on detailed forecast I get an error.

Okay,

I had to remove and reinstall the weather feature again - so all user settings had to be reset.

For those who set your weather already - I apologize!!! Please reset your weather again.

Try to reset your weather again, and see if detailed forecast works now. It should.

The detailed forceast works for me!

Erwin...you're so cool! I can even get the weather for the city in which I work! I thought the closest I'd get would be the Central Park weather...but was I wrong!

I am still having bugs, I get the wrong temps and there are missing images:

Maybe the celcius/Farenheit is messed up, I will try experimenting some more, I really like this feature and would like to clear up my problems with it.

No really, I didn't do anything, I just tried to update my settings and that is what I got, Im sure with your expertise you will have it fixed in short order when you get time.

It's okay now. I figured it out. The weather server where I get the weather information from must have gone offline for a while - hey, it happens! When that server goes offline, we don't get the weather data, so we get the error messages.


It's working now! Thank God!

When it happens again, don't panic - relax, wait, and the server will come back.

The weather server currently isn't available. There's a nice error message, and all the forecast values are set to zero - at least the Fahrenheit values. The Celsius temperature seems still to get calculated from the Fahrenheit value.

I don't mind, but it looks funny!

Like the icon says - the weather server is offline at the moment. We are currently fixing it. Please be patient. Ignore the numbers.

Bad news - the weather server we use has changed the way they give out information - I may or may not be able to get the weather working again. Give me some time.

Good news!!!

The "Current Weather" is back!

There is a list of over 30,000 cities from all over the world, so give it a try! The default setting is New York, NY, USA. Click on "Change Settings" to choose your country, state and city now.

There is even a 5-day forecast! 

If you find that the second dropdown menu for the city doesn't change, choose another country, then choose your own country again to make it work.
