I was just wondering whether anyone still thinks Coronavirus is a "hoax".

Hoaxes do not leave the human body full of blood clots, sometimes 1000's of them! They do not cause brain damage that goes on for months after recovery---and may be permanent. They do not cause hallucinations, they do not cause deaths in every city in every country. They do not cause neurological problems that are still lingering months later, such as unsteady walking requiring walking assistance. They do not cause extreme fatigue and weakness months after recovery---providing, of course, you recover. And anyone that thinks they can not get it again because they had a mild case of it and have immunity, have not read the latest findings---the antibodies dwindle over time---meaning there will not be enough antibodies to prevent re-infection and they may not have any at all after more time elapses. The milder the case, the less antibodies and the quicker they dwindle. Some hoax.

I live in NYC. I suppose those bodies stacked up in tractor trailers because the hospital morgue was full was a hoax . Or the 6 people I knew who died just in my 4 block area. Or those screaming every night and all night ambulances rushing to get someone who couldn’t breathe. Well Florida welcome to the world I just left . Because of Cuomo we had 0 deaths a few days ago. I thank God literately that he wasn’t as stupid as Trump

Despite creating some confusion with his remarks, Trump did not call the coronavirus itself a hoax. Did President Trump Refer to the Coronavirus as a 'Hoax'?

Trumps blatant mismanagement of the pandemic lead many to think he said it was a hoax. Not a very important distinction as Trumpian English is sometimes almost incomprehensible. And he does lie and make misleading statements continually including about this virus

No. I just think that the public response is a comedy. It's like watching a woman standing on a chair and screaming about a mouse.

If I had been trying to get infected, I'd have done nothing differently, but I don't know a single person who has actually had it.

It may not be a hoax, but it still feels like pure fiction.

Where was he when the bodies were piling up? It seems you get very selective with the blame game.

Once he realized that trump was not only clueless but incompetent he started asking people who weren’t either. And he let us know what he learned immediately. And did something about it immediately. Trump wouldn’t do the simplest smart thing and encouraged others to not protect themselves. There a reason that the DEATH CLOCK is named for Trump not Cuomo

I don't know anyone who was in the Twin Towers but I still believe many people were killed and injured who were there at the time. Same applies to Hiroshima.

Completely irrelevant. I never questioned the reality of the epidemic, but I do reject the reaction.

I did not evacuate a building in Irvine when a tower in New York was hit, nor did my grandfather dive for cover in Oklahoma when Hiroshima was bombed. We could argue these non sequiturs all week and get nowhere. For me, the whole thing feels like a fiction, because people are reacting to the condensed hysteria of the media, rather than the complete lack of visible mortality in their own world. In a word, it's not a mentally healthy condition.

I didn't blame it on Cuomo, but he had more local opportunity than Trump and just as much time.

And did something about it immediately.

No, he didn't. The citizens around me in California thought your whole state was nuts for taking so long to do anything about it. California did something immediately, while Cuomo dithered.

Like I say, you play a very selective blame game.

During the speech he also seemed to downplay the severity of the outbreak, comparing it to the common flu."

That's plain enough for me. He called it a hoax, even if he claimed it belonged to the Democrats.
