• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was just wondering...would someone who wasn't a christian have these fears of committing the unforgivable sin, always thinking they are sinning, never being saved, or of losing the HS forever and having horrible thoughts against God, Jesus and the HS? Thanks

I would like to know this too, I am wondering myself if over the past 5 yrs of my concerns over my salvation if it was even possible for me to be concerned about it at all if I wasnt really saved to begin with.

I knew I wasnt living right and thought deep down inside that I must not really be saved.

The answer is YES ,,I have read two accounts of those who claimed to be unsaved and suffered and struggled with the same ..both later did become christians however but acording to there own testimony they were during the thick of these struggles .

i think that EVERYBODY regardess what they believe or dont believe at one time or another in their life(even if they never admit it) wonder about all kinds of things about GOD, or gods, or different religions etc...and when they seek, they may have all sorts of fears.... but everyone is different.. especially those of us with ocd....

like keryakos stated, these 2 became christians, snd i firmly believe it was the HOLY SPIRIT drawing them.... he didnt say they struggled with it .. and then just turned away..... they answered just like we have....

the fact with most of us on here is that we WANT TO BELIEVE AND WE DONT WANT TO HAVE ANY OF THESE AWFUL THOUGHTS.... AND GOD knows our hearts.....

WE condemn ourselves, not GOD.....

but truly it is the HOLY SPIRIT that draws us,TO become christians and to bring us back when we have grieved HIM... and if HE wasnt drawing.... you wouldnt be caring......

dont know if any of that made sense, but i hope it did..

love yall
