We both watch CSI and CSI Miami. I actually like the staff of the Miami show better, in particular Horatio. I initially couldn't stand his voice, but as I stayed watching the show I started liking the fact that Horatio really shows that he cares for the people in his life or that come into his life. I definitely find that admirable. They definitely wrote his character well.

God bless!

A few thoughts....

Grissom is beginning to bore me and I think it is due to the actor being bored with the part. If he leaves when his contract is up after next season, I for one will not miss him. My favourite character is Katherine followed closely by Warick.
I used to like Sara but she is just .... just.... I don't know. I can't put my finger on it but that charecter is just so boring. Thank God that the romance that was rumored between Sara and Grissom never took place.

CSI:Miami started very rough with the actors not really sure of where they were and who they were. But that has changed. Cozmo said it best that "...liking the fact that Horatio really shows that he cares for the people in his life or that come into his life. " The characters on the original show hardly ever show that same level of care&/or concern. The only concern that I have is that Eric and "Speed" are almost interchangeable. They have no identifying traits to seperate out.

Did anyone who saw the season ender of CSI (Original) think that a certain member of the F.B.I ( namely Mulder) was going to jump out. Talking about absorbing your twin in the womb and having 2 different DNA's was just a little to X-Files for me. And him having 3 or 4 brothers was just a way for the rest of Grissom's crew to be chasing down some red herrings.

LoL! We thought the same thing. It didn't really fit into C.S.I's storyline too well, but I must admit, I'm a huge X-Files fan

God bless!

I must disagree strenuously (ooomph! ). The genetic chimera angle was precisely what was stymeing the case. No one had any idea until Grissom took the photos that showed the skin condition which, unlike Mulder in X-files, led him not a flight of fancy, but to the medical liturature where he was able to piece together the evidence in a scientific, rational way.

The show is awesome and the finale was the best season/series finale twist I've seen all May.

I am biased towards the original because I tend to like the originals more than dervivative shows (though I do like good spin-off Cheers/Frasier for example) and I fell in love with Marg Helgenburger when I watched China Beach back in the late 80s and she's only improving with age.
