  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Have any of your babies ever cried while they are asleep???
Maddie occasionally will let out a huge cry... for about 5 seconds and then go back to being peacefully asleep.
Is this normal? Does it mean she is in pain? Or is it something that happens with little babies?
It is incredibly cute... she screws her face up... lets the cry out and then goes back to looking absolutely peaceful!!!

It has scared the daylights out of me a few times when she has been sleeping with me!!! :)

Four of my kids did that, I also remember really freaking out a bit with my first born. Doctor told me it was absolutely normal, he said if she stayed up crying all night then it meant there may be something bothering her.

If she was in pain she would wake up and cry for longer.

Crying in sleep doesn't stop when they leave babyhood either. Both of my children (6 and 3) occasionally "whimper" in their sleep. I think it could be a nightmare or something, so I usually just pray for them to settle down and have a nicer dream.

Dont sweat it. They had a bad dream or something. I just ignore it. Plus, I don't like it when babies sleep with me. Just my preference.
