Before I begin I will admit that the above phrase I borrowed from someone else but it so well sums up what I want to talk about.
For the spirit filled Church it is so easy for us to become settled in our way of life. I'm saved, I go to church etc. We can easily begin to cruise through on what we know about God without developing our relationship with Him or bringing others into or helping them develop relationship with God. Instead of being charismatic we become cruisamatic.
So settled in our cruisy life do we become that to entertain ourselves we put off a penticostal anointing and don a petticostal anointing.
I believe that even if we are full on in our faith we need to be careful that we as individuals and corperately don't slip into the cruisamatic/petticostal way of living thus making us gradually more and more ineffectual for the Kingdom of God. Remember we are in a war zone and the enemy will try anything to nullify the work of God.

this is a great word  and a good way to remind all of us to remember our first love, Jesus, and if we slip, to return to doing what we did in the beginning.

The hardest thing for any Chirstian to realise and admit (at least to themselves) is that the devil has been successful in diminishing their "effectivity". It is so easy to slip into mindless bickering forgetting that there is a world out there who does not know Jesus, who does not know who they are in Jesus and that we the church are the ones called to make disciples of them, to baptize them and to teach them. Are all of us doing that?
I don't know about you guys but I need to kill a bit more flesh I think.

When we are developed in God Consciousness, we are more aware of others needs around us.

We we are developed in Self Consciousness, we are more aware of our needs than those around us.

I agree for myself as well because the closer we get to God the more He asks us to give up, we have to to move closer. I dont know about anyone else but I like being comfortable and change comes hard to me, comfortable is not what God wants, He keeps challanging us to go deeper and deeper so I understand what you are saying.

Dude that's soo awesome! What a great word. We can slip into complacency. I would know--It happened to me :(

But we can get out of it! You're flesh will be kicking and screaming or maybe you'll feel convicted about it--Everyone reacts differently.

If I can get out of it, I know that anyone else who is/has going/gone through it will be victorious! :)
