How many of you have ever posted at Crosswalk.com? I know AMDG and D'Ann and 3toraiseup as fellow catholic apologists from there, but has anyone else ever posted on that site?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As far as I can remember, I've never posted there but I do sometimes visit that site to look at their articles and the religious news.

Veritas used to, I think so did KrstIsos, and some others--not sure of their "names". As to why the question, maybe he just wants to possibly see a friendly "face" or at least know that there is life even after....
PS--Wow! General Theology here on CF is just like the Catholic Threads?! Thanks for the warning. I'll remember not to go there. I like it here on OBOB--so calm--so nice--no debating--no "bloodshed".

My dh and I do the same thing too. They have an excellent Bible Search tool. That's probably what I like the most... all I like there... actually... except a few threads that are not related to faith issue discussions.

As D'Ann satated, or someone, I think it was AMDG, I was a frequent visitor to crosswalk . com. In fact, I was one of the earlier posters there. I have some "personal" issues with the head moderator, but that's neither here or there. I did frequent the Community Forums, and I do miss a lot of the people I met there. They were a really bunch of great people.
Now, it's real difficult to get on there from the home computer because my security system won't allow me to log in unless I disable it, which I hesitate to do because of all the security "wackos" out there.
But, I found the General Theology people here a lot more "tame" than the Protestants posting in the CW Catholic threads. (My fellow former CW's may beg to differ) Although, I've found OBOB quite refreshing and realized that Catholics are at so many different levels in their faith and so many views it makes me proud to be a Catholic/
I took a theology class once, and the Priest told us: "If you want a religion that offends everyone some time and in some way, join the Catholic Church. We cater to everyone." I'm sure he was saying this in a fesecious way, but if you think about it, the Catholic Church never shys away from anything that's happening in the world, or whatever topic is discussed at the water coolers.
Well, as you can see, I can be a talker. My apologies. CW is an interesting place. You'll get a "wide eyed" view of what Catholic Apologists put up with.
