• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm not going to watch it & I know you are thinking (but you don't understand completely if you don't) But you are WANTED by GOD you have done NOTHING unforgiveable. You are fine & please understand that God loves you & wants you. I know you hear that ALL the time but I promise you. He wants you to have peace & rest in His sacrafice. I know your mind says "but what about those scriptures in Hebrews or the Blasphemey one." Those DO NOT apply to YOU. NONE of them, you can see you need Him and thats all that matters, please rest in this Robert. We all love you & we can all see that God wants you to just rest in Him.

Robert,
God only gives up on those who give up on Him. You haven't given up on Him or else you wouldn't be here seeking reassurance and checking over and over to make sure that He still loves you. Yet no matter how many times someone points that out to you the OCD will still press you to obtain yet another reassurance promising that it will finally lay all your doubts to rest. It's a real slave driver but you have the choice to say no to it's bidding. You can live with the feeling of uncertainty about this and get on with living out your faith by your actions. Will you only follow and serve God if He gives you comfort or will you follow Him even without that comfort? That's what He did for you and me. There was no comfort to be found on the road to the cross and yet He walked that road anyway.
Just because OCD makes us feel numb to God doesn't mean He feels numb to us. Never try and lean on your own understanding when it comes to His dealings with you and above all else don't depend on the emotional roller coaster of OCD emotions to interpret his intentions toward you.
Just walk, Robert and He will be pleased even with your stumbles.

I think perhaps this may help some of you understand more clearly on what I fear when I have told you all that I think the Holy Ghost of God has deserted me. Please watch this video, it explains it all.

Robertz go to this website and see if he will help you. knowimsaved.com

It is NOT about what YOU have done! It's all about Jesus! He did it all already, so rest in His finished work, dear brother. You obviously have a change of mind about your sin, so turn and accept what he has done for you on the cross.
