  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Name a game that you love that many other people seem to love to hate on and tell us why you love it so.

For me it's Prince of Persia Warrior Within.

I don't get why everybody hated it so much!

I know the attitude put some people off, as did the soundtrack, but seriously, I just laughed that off and enjoyed one of the best games I have ever played.

The level design was superb, better than any other game I have ever seen, and the fact that you would go through the same area in different time periods and they would feel completely different was a great achievement.

The combat was so much better that PoP: The Sands of Time, I can't even begin. The variety was amazing. Some people seemed to not like it because it wasn't more like the combat system for Ninja Gaiden, but WW is a platformer at heart, and for it to have such a robust combat system was great.

Finally, the story was absolutely top-notch, with plenty of twists and turns, and a time travel element that actually made sense.

All in all, a great game..and I don't care what anyone else thinks.;)

I suppose the closest for me is Final Fantasy IX. I've never met people who hated it, but I've met people who just didn't like it as much as the others, yet it's my favorite. I love fantasy settings, which is one of the things I didn't like about VII. Great game, but I'll take a more traditional fantasy-ish world over an alternate present day world any time. Plus, I think the characters are awesome, and even though the ability system didn't allow for the ridiculous amounts of power that VII, VIII, and X had, I still like it a lot.

Wow, you know what? I feel exactly the same way about that game... I love it!

And for the record... I think the soundtrack is cool!
