Thank you for at least reading this; I really hope you can help me!

I am wanting to make a scrapbook of me and Mr. Rains relationship! I have all kinds of pictures and momentos from our six year journey! I also have a lot of stickers (left over from my days as a summer camp counselor!) and markers and construction paper.

I have a few options for making the book. a photo album(the kind with static pages) a scrapbook that I was given a few years back( but it only has 15 pages!) or a 3 ring binder.

I was curious if anyone could giver me some tips! Which of those things would work better? What else I should include? How would be a good way to set it up?

I thank you very much in advance :) My creativity is not flowing :(

I personally would go with the three ring binder or something like it. Various craft stores might have a couple of different sizes....for 8 1/2 x 11 or 9 x 12. If you just decide to decorate the pages, add pictures etc. and slip them into the clear plastic page holders you'll be able to stay of the lower end of the budget. I would go for acid free everything....glue, tape, paper, and pens. In the long run it will save your pictures from rotting and should also help keep them from becomming discolored. Keep in mind that some of the stuff you may be including in your scrapbook is not "acid free" and therefore should keep it's distance from good pictures. Be careful about what kind of constrution paper you're using...it deteriorates quickly.

If you want to go for a theme in the book brain storm and then work on was of incorporating that theme throughout. Say like you want a season theme to carry you through the years. Try background decoration with colored leaf shapes, paper snowflakes, sunshines, stars. Or if you want to theme by page.... Like the trip you took to say to Cancun.... decorate with "sand," beach umbrella's, fish etc. The possibilities are endless! You might also try walking through a craft store or scrapbooking store/section to get some ideas. After all...you don't have to buy all the cut outs and what not...just get the ideas and figure out how to make it yourself!

Have great fun!

NO NO NO to construction paper. Whatever you do, please make sure that you use acid free paper.
If your not sure if paper is acid free set it in the sun for a bit with a coin on top. If it doesn't fade it should be safe to use.

I too would go with the 3 ring binder or an album in which you can rotate the pages easily. For me it makes it easier to scrap, sometimes I just don't like scrapping in order.

There are alot of great sites out there dedicated to scrapbooking. If you'd like I can send you a few.
