Word to Christians on this site. When an atheist links to a source make sure to check it (and double check wikipedia as a source since skeptics love to sign up there to be editors). From the source above -
Oops.........
Thank you for your admission, it should be noted that the Christian Cannon had long been established and the documents that had the authority were the ones that would be put into the Bible as we know it today. You are correct and my post was inaccurate. It did however result in the first uniform Christian doctrine called the Nicaean Creed that went on to allow cannon to be established.
I stand corrected.

I think I have made my self really clear. Since you still identify with Christian as a presbyterian I shouldn't have to stress the point that Christians are not free to make false accusations against other Christians.
A life without God is the difficult life. The Christian life is an easy life. Most people make life difficult for themselves by living in rebellion against God and against what is right, good, proper and true. Look at people in prison, in a split second they have ruined their life because they choose to break the law.So you have chosen the "believe in it really, really hard" path. That answers that question.
There are lots of timelines on the internet. Notice how Noah's father Lamech and Adam are both alive at the same time. Can you show me one place where the Biblical timeline exists?

Science Esp non believers have a shorter life, five years to be exact. The Christian life is still a better, more healthy and longer life then the non christian. If for no other reason then because they are a part of the community when they belong to a church. If they actually worship God there or not. I have heard of Amish people that would forsake their own family to keep their membership in the church safe and secure. How would you know a non believer has a more difficult life?
Do your own research. Christians have a much better life. John Wesley complained that Christians are victims of their own success. They become complacent because they live a very comfortable life. He felt they would somehow have been better off if they had to struggle a little more.Evidence?
Also, what about quality of life?
I check it out and verify it. If you would make any attempt at all to verify the Bible then you would see that it is accurate and true. You can not expect others to do it for you. You will be held responsible for what you do with your life. How do you determine if a claim is true or not? Does a claim become true if you simply believe in it really, really hard?
It would not matter if the story were true or not. The principles remain the same. That is why these ancient stories still exist, because of the part they play in the collective conscious. Look at Freud, a lot of his stores were based on Greek Mythology. Things like Oedipus complex and stuff like that.I don't think, for example, this particular David fought this creature called "Goliath", or that there even is such a creature to begin with.

"A new report indicates that those who believe in God not only live a healthier life but also add 14 years to their life."It was your claim.
Jericho has been around for at least 6,000 years. So everything there would be stacked on top of the other. Even before Jericho was a city people camped out in that area.I am asking for one archeological dig where artifacts from every event in the Bible are neatly stacked one on top of the other.
That is the opposite of what I said. You are telling us how you operate. Somehow you think if you can just believe hard enough none of this will be true. That is why I support Science because Science is very active to do the research to verify what is and what is not true. They do not just believe really really hard as you suggest. Even evolutionists make a token attempt every now and then to substantiate what they believe. So you have chosen the "believe in it really, really hard" path. That answers that question.

Your thinking of Geology and Evolution where there is no one place in the world where you can find all the geological layers.
This is not a concern for the Bible, because the Bible only covers the last 6,000 years of recorded history.
I check it out and verify it.
