The Creation Museum, located in Kentucky, is ready to open in a couple of days Monday according to the news release. This has been in the works for some time, and I'm glad to finally see it come to pass.

Here's a link to the news release: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/24/a...9398&ex=1180152000&pagewanted=all&oref=slogin

A related article says that there are some factions that plan to demonstrate against it's opening, and I say more power to them. Anything they do will only get it into the news more.

A plausible and scientifically valid alternative to what the current community of science has been spewing forth for the last 100 years or so is a welcome relief. It's about time that the truth finally has an outlet, other than churches. I hope that it attracts many people who are "on the fence," so to speak, and challenges them to be open to what God has declared about the creation.

Makes me think of that book about a future where pollution and overpopulation has caused the US to break up, and in the South and mid-west right wing Christian fundamentalists are in control and create backwards theocracy's.
Man, talk about slippery slope theory.

Really? How so? I just see a bunch of creationists who built a creationist museum to promote their cause. Not all creationists are right wing fundies intent on building a theocracy just as I'm sure that all Christians who believe in evolutionists aren't closet satanists who "abort" newborn children in the name of Baal.
