Well there's a semi-biased Christian review of the game on the christiananswers site if it helps you any. I tried to link you to it but apparently I've got to have 15 posts before I'm allowed to link to an external site?

I think it all depends on the reason you are playing the game. I love the game because it is a fast paced game that requires a bit of strategy but not too much thinking. :)

But if I found myself only playing it because of the violence, then I think there's a bit of a warning sign.

I think its a good game to play, as long as you dont get addicted to it like I did, this past summer I played it so much, and then after school and on weekends all the time, until I gave up gaming. Then 1 month later I felt god tell me I could start gaming again, which was really good because I lead a christian counter-strike clan. I do not like playing cs on most non-christian servers because theres a lot of profanity, and it can be very discouraging. Being in a community with other christians, who don't swear, makes it a lot more fun to play counter-strike. If you want more info about my clan its here: http://www.fewleftstanding.net Do you have msn or aim? Maybe we could play together sometime if you decide to play it ^_^

Ultimately, the choice is yours and you don't have to explain it to anyone beyond you don't feel right playing it.
I personally see the game and others like it as harmless fun.

A game I will probably never own is the GTA doublepack that just came out. Do I see anything wrong with it? Well, in the strange event that some young people may look up to me I think it is best if I do not own it considering the controversial hype behind it. But I haven't made up my mind for sure yet.

I think violent games are OK (My favorite FPS is UT2003)
But if a game has sex and stuff like that that can lead to lust, etc., I say avoid it, as lust is sinful.
And if you are being influenced by a game for the worst, by all means, uninstall that game ASAP.

But that's only my opinion :)

I think a game is a game no matter what it has in it. if you thnik you shouldnt be playing it then dont but if you like it no matter what your values are then go for it. if you are mad b/c your beliefs dont want you to play a game then forget your beliefs and do whant you wanna do. you control your beliefs not the other way around.[/B]
