Since this is Thanksgiving week here in the states it is a good time to Count Your Blessings.

:bow:

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

Refrain

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

Refrain

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Refrain

If I "count my blessings and name them one by one", I could never find that 'finish line'. But that in itself is an awesome concept .. that there IS a finish line, the moment we see Jesus face to face. But while I'm here on this earth ..

I'm thankful for ...

God's love .. for sending us His Son to die and live again so that WE may live with Him someday. :amen:

For God's Word.

For the Lord's ever watchful care over us.

For every opportunity to be able to serve HIM, in whatever capacity.

For my husband and our 3 blessings of such loving children.

That our country was founded on Biblical principles .. In God We (STILL ) Trust!

For Christian parents who raised me in the knowledge of the Lord. :hug:

To the Lord for supplying our every need.

For Christian friends and the fellowship we share. (especially for all of YOU!) :groupray:

For every day that I wake up!

For knowing true JOY! :clap:

" I could sing of Your Love FOREVER!!!" :bow:

I've been blessed in more ways than I can count.

To name a few I'm thankful for:

Jesus Christ

My family

My health

My Christian friends

All of you here at Fabulous Forties

And so many more blessing than I can count. I don't need a special day to give thanks. I give thanks everyday. :bow:

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.

Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.

Count your health instead of your wealth;
Love your neighbor as much as yourself.

What I am most Thankful for in 2005

I am forever grateful to the Lord whom never leaves me nor forsakes me, no matter what I do. I am thankful that I have peace in my mind concerning my health. I plan on making it into the medical books by being staying at Stage 1 kidney failure longer that anyone else ever has. But even if I do not reach that goal I have a great peace in knowing my God will give me the grace to handle what ever I have to face and in the end everything will be ok. This year has brought in many changes and both good and bad, but in them all God is in control.

I am as always very thankful for the gift of my most wonderful husband Ron. Ron gives me strength when I’m fresh out, and is always a soft place to land when I fall.

I am thankful for my children, without whom I would have missed so much joy, laughter and tears.

I am VERY thankful that we have been lead to a wonderful church, where the Lord truly is in control and that the people there have opened up their hearts to us and many new friends have been made.
