Count our Blessings Thread!

In this thread, let's concentrate on all the blessings we have been given. I know that being single sometimes just down right stinks. But, God has given us so many other blessings that we sometimes tend to lose sight of them when we focus on our "have nots" instead of our "haves". Let this thread be a reminder of all of the wonderful things God has blessed us with.

I'll start:

God blessed me with a warm bed and a warm house to sleep in last night that kept me dry from the rain we had.

There are so many things but for now I'll go with...

I was blessed to have been born in a nation where all people have a pretty darn good chance to make something good out of their life rather than wither away neglected by most of the rest of the world the way many people sadly are.

I'm blessed, even in singleness, to have all I need when so many have nothing at all.

I'm blessed to have things to enjoy in my life to help temporarily take away my tears and sadness about self-centered Christians and human suffering in the world.

I'm blessed that I'm able to tell others about Christ and about helping people who have nothing rather than focusing only on their selfishness.

I am blessed with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to be a child of God to begine with who is empowered by the Holy Spirit.

I have an awesome family and two of the best (grown) son's ever - David and Daniel

I have a great relationship with my ex husband and that is definetly something to be thankful for.

Singleness itself is a blessing for me. I know that no marriage is 100% perfect and as a single person I don't have to deal with any of the troubles that are specific to married life. I don't even have to deal with any of the troubles that are specific to boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. So rather than saying that I am blessed in spite of singleness, I would like to list my singleness itself as a blessing.

Hmm, kinda hesitant to post in this thread, everytime I find something good in life, it tends to get taken away.

I'm blessed to still have all my arms and legs.

He's allowed me to go to a college with amazing Bible courses.

He's given me two friends who have been my comfort, strength and even rebukers when I've needed it.

I have a great bedroom with so much stuff that I don't need, but He's given anyway.
