I think us Christians need to get our minds out of the gutter sometimes. There is a LOT, LOT more to morality than just sex! It always seems to be old white men who yearn for the 'good old days' before the 60's. That was a period when women knew their place was in the kitchen, & 'the blacks' also knew their place in society, which was to be subservient to us white men! It was also the days when kittens & puppies were put in a sack & thrown out onto the highway like discarded rubbish to be run over by passing vehicles. What consenting adults do with their sex lives is no business of mine. I think Jesus said, 'let he who be without sin cast the 1st stone' & 'why look at the spec in your brother's eye, when you have a log in your own eye'! I think that as a human society, in secular countries at least we are far more moral than we have ever been. That doesn't mean that we don't have a long way to go, but slowly we are progressing. Ending slavery was certainly a large leap forward in morality, as is civil rights & equality for minorities, such as those of us who may have a different skin colour, ethnicity, or EVEN THOSE who are same-sex attracted, or transgender! Our treatment of animals is also getting more humane. Sadly the progress being made towards human rights is not everywhere. Discrimination towards minorities, the treatment of animals etc. is far better in some countries than others. However, it is mainly in religiously controlled rather than secularly controlled countries that have had the least progress in these areas. In some religiously controlled countries human rights is going backwards, rather than progressing, as religious extremists try to exert more & more control. Oh yeah, I myself am an old white male. However I believe in progressing humanity, & equality for all, not yearning for this mythical period of high morality in days past, because it never existed, except in your mind!
