Could my location be what's keeping me single?

Maybe you just need to move across town or drive into Denver now and then. I have been to Colorado Springs multiple times and didn't even remember it was a military town until we actually drove by the air force base. I don't remember seeing much signs of the military anywhere we visited and I definitely not describe it as a town of "men"...I'd have remembered that!

Oh trust me, this is very much a military town/community. In fact, there are no less than FIVE military installations (USAF Academy, FT Carson Army post, Peterson and Shriever AFB, and also the Cheyenne Mountain complex). I have a keen sense of observation and I can tell you that most women in this town are already married to a soldier or to an airman. Most women who come into my workplace to shop are married as indicated by their wedding rings and the fact that they usually have at least two or three kids in tow.

Male to female ration in colorado springs appears to be pretty equal male to female. So since polygamy isn't legal in CO, the number of married women must match the number of married men. So the ratio of unmarried men to unmarried women must be fairly equal too.

The reality is that as we get older, the pool of single people just gets smaller and it will start feeling like everyone is married. Not sure that moving would increase your chances. Is there a place in the US that has more single women?...maybe Florida if you are into the over 65 crowd and don't mind a widow?

Here's another source for Colorado in general...men to women appears to be pretty darn close....maybe a little heavier in the male department but I'd bet that a lot of those extra males are young men in the military (under 25 crowd like make up the AF Academy and the rest of the military).
