  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If you have taken Ritalin or Aderol (any of the ADD drugs) you will be rejected by the USAF. I had a friend in college that was diagnosed with ADHD and he went into the Army despite him using the drugs. The main thing is not the diagnosis, since most people grow out of the problem. But, the main thing the military looks at is the fact that you have taken mind-altering drugs whose affects are not well understood.

My cousin was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, and he served in the US Navy. I don't know why you would be prevented from joining-ask your local recruiter.

CHADD is a site that you might want to check out if you have the condition :)

I have ADD, and have seen discussions about this lots of times....basically what I have learned is that it's ok to have a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, BUT it's dependant on whether or not you are on medication that's the determining factor....

I've read (and have a site bookmarked, PM me if you want it because I don't know if I can post it)on a site where you should be off of meds for at least a couple of years prior to trying to enlist.

Hope this helps!
