you seem to be a defensive witness for leaders only,of the same genre.
I do?
I seriously think you either lack the ability to comprehend, are not paying attention to the discussion, or you're purposefully misrepresenting what I said, because I said this yesterday in post #76 of this thread quite clearly (emphasis added);
probinson said:I would agree with you that Pharisees can appear in any form. Some are pastors. Some are on leadership teams and church boards. Some are sitting in the pew right next to you.
It behooves us to be able to recognize (and confront) Pharisees, no matter where they are. It is also imperative that we keep a watchful eye on ourselves (see Galatians 6) to identify and deal with our own Pharisaical tendencies before doing so.
What about having compassion on those who were deeply wounded by "leaders"?
We're not talking about them in this thread. This thread's topic is talking about correcting Christian leaders.
Besides, attacking the leaders that have "deeply wounded" people is not "having compassion" toward them.
Interestingly enough, shortly after all this stuff came out about Todd Bentley, there were people who posted on this forum about how God was healing any wounds they had, and the incessant attack on Bentley and the revival was simply reopening wounds. IOW, the very people that these people were purporting to help were being HURT EVEN MORE. But no one really cared, and they just kept right on going. Now, most of those people have moved on, because of the "compassion" shown toward them.
I posted ample clear scripture,to which you only gave a semantical reply.
You must be joking. Look back through the thread and you'll see all kinds of scripture in my posts. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it was "semantical".
