Rev. Robert McCurley delivers a thoughtful and sober sermon on Lamentations 3:39-42. I agree with the Pastor we should be multiplying church services and not cancelling them and yes, abandoning the Lord is worse than death.

39 Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins?
40 Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord;
41 Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.
42 We have transgressed and rebelled; You have not pardoned.

I listed to some of this, it is interesting he uses the sowing a reaping terminology. It echoes this teaching on God's wrath. Is God Judging America Today?

I listened to most of it now. Thanks for posting it. I like the part about how we should pray during the COVID time. I do not want to pray for a return to the way it was. We all know that was messed up, but God in His mercy wants to show us the true path, if it takes anguish to get there, then so be it. I don't agree with having to attend church services during this time though if you can worship online. I know God can protect, but I do not see how it would matter than much unless one was involved in the ministry or needed by the church to serve others.

I pray we all can go back to churh now safely. In a way that benefits the Lord and us in a safe, healthy fashion. However I do not think it will be the same where hundreds of the faithful gather at the same time anymore...
