6000??? That seems exaggerated.

Either way, I have no idea. I check the forum every day to see if anyone has added any questions. I answer what I can. It's not a very active forum, though, and the addition of mystical elements to questions just irks me – too many assumptions about Hebrew having magical qualities. Why not just learn the language for what it is – the vehicle through which Scripture was delivered from the ancient Jewish people? Isn't that enough without trying to turn it into a magic carpet ride of a language? Yet, even the rabbis did/do that, though it's completely unjustified. There is absolutely no mysticism in the Hebrew language. The letters aren't magical. The words aren't mystical. It's just a language. A wonderfully beautiful language, but a language nonetheless. It's like so many people have done with Latin, imbuing it with magical qualities. Just sickening, if you ask me.

I do not speak, write or understand Hebrew, but I am fluent in both english and spanish. When I study the word of God, I enjoy reading the amplified version of the bible. It gives the hebrew meaning of some of the words. I find that it gives me a better understanding of what God was saying. It makes the word of God come to life for me. So much is lost in translation. For example, one word in english or spanish has one meaning, but that same word in Hebrew has two or three different meanings. I agree that it is not magic. The Lord doesn't do magic and is not magic. He simply keeps His secrets in His written word and when we seek Him, and His truth, He reveals His secret to whoever He chooses. For example, I was taught that there are three different words for "Bible". (sorry if I spell them wrong, but this was a teaching I heard on the radio so I dont know the correct spelling.)
The first word is graphe...which means written word. The second word is logos is the word that is understood, and third is Rema which is the word that is revealed. As you can see when you compare the meaning in different languages to the Hebrew, you get so much more insight from the Hebrew. Makes me wish I was fluent in Hebrew :)

Words in most languages have more than one meaning, even English and Spanish. For example the same Hebrew word צדיק is most frequently translated as "justicia" in Spanish and "rightiousness" in English. It is true that Hebrew roots have a much wider semantic range of definition but grammatical constraints limit the possible definitions in specific uses.
Many of the "secrets" that non-Hebrew speakers find in Sripture are really misunderstandings of the language because while the root often has multiple meanings, the specific form used in a specific verse always has a much more limited definition.

For example, I was taught that there are three different words for "Bible". (sorry if I spell them wrong, but this was a teaching I heard on the radio so I dont know the correct spelling.)

First these words are Greek, not Hebrew. And second the narrow definitions given for these words reflects a common misconception about the language. Like English, Spanish, and Hebrew, Greek words have much more overlap in meaning. Last, the word for bible (or book) in Greek is "biblios," the words you have given are used to translate "word"
