I’m impressed that despite it being a book for small children, grown adults aren’t able to grasp the intended moral of the book’s storyline.

Also glad that when I was a kid I didn’t have parents who clutched their pearls over my saying that a goldfish I owned wasn’t really a boy named James like I thought, but a girl named Jennifer.

I think with conversations on this subject, nuance gets lost and "the baby gets thrown out with the bathwater".

What I mean by that is:
Since the extreme viewpoints on both ends of the debate have dominated the conversation, you have half of the people who want to toss out books that are innocently just promoting inclusion, and the other half (not wanting those books to be tossed and not wanting to concede and inch to the evangelicals) end up defending things like the book "Flamer" (one of the books at the center of the school library controversy) and "The Dragtivity Book" (one of the books at the center the Drag Story Hour controversy), because it all gets presented as a "package deal" where people are given the choice accept all of it or reject all of it.

...and you end up with odd scenarios where
A) people coming across as silly for advocating for the removal of books that are at worst, PG and actually are just books about inclusion.
&
B) people end up defending books like Flamer for Jr. High schools, that when having excerpts described and read at a press conference, NBC actually had to bleep out parts of it.

For this particular topic, it would've been to society's benefit to let the moderates steer the ship.

I dont know if I can think of many situations where moderates shouldn't be in charge...

I like how people try to pretend there isn't a blatant all out agenda to erase the concept of male and female and promote the trans craze that's especially directed at small children. "Oh they're clutching at pearls again".

For the children cum adults who are transgender, they’ll going to need to have an intellectual way to describe how they feel, previous generations didn’t have this “luxury”, they had to conform or go insane.

If they’re unaware of it being “okay” to have the condition that they do then they’re liable to think that it isn’t.
Why on earth would a civilized society withhold this information from its children?

The trans craze is targeted at children across the board. The idea that the sheer ubiquity of it is intended for 1% of the population is pure nonsense.

Point six percent actually.
Is it “okay” if 1,800,000 people have to “suffer” for the rest of us to feel like we’re “normal”?
Why?

What's actually happening is as many little children as possible are being enveloped in transgender-fluid/nonbianary ideology. That 1.8 million number is way outdated now. Look up how many children identify as trans/nonbinary now, like I just did. First hit:

New studies find millions of young nonbinary and transgender Americans

I don't think it's necessarily about everyone else wanting to feel "normal", it has to do with varying levels of impositions being demanded.

The majority of people are on-board with things like marriage/housing/employment discrimination protections.

It's when it drifts into
"You have to be okay with seeing XYZ in the changing room"
"You have to be okay with us teaching your kids XYZ"
"You have to be okay with a male playing on the girls sports teams"

...that people start to raise some objections.

To the underlying question, which is "do we prioritize the comfort of a few over the comfort of many", to which the answer is "sometimes yes, sometimes no...depends on what the ask is".

For instance if we were talking about either the Jewish/Muslim communities
If the ask is "we want discrimination protections for housing & employment, and we'd like our places of worship to get the same tax breaks as the Christian Churches", then that's a very reasonable ask...

If the ask is "we demand that every restaurant adhere to Kosher/Halal standards so that we're more comfortable", then the answer would be "No, sorry...either find a restaurant that voluntarily offers those options, or you'll just have to eat at home"

There's no agenda to erase male and female.

What do you think nonbinary and genderfluid means?
I know what it means. What does that have to do with your false claim that hey are trying to "erase" the genders?
