Does anyone know of any resources or studies linking rising homosexuality rates to an increased use of contraception?

To me the logical trail seems evident.

Intercourse while not allowing the seed to reach the egg is only one step away from self pleasure and self pleasure is only one step away from trial/error in sexuality.

To me it seems like there would be a clear philosophical and logical chain as there seems to be no real difference between the outcome of intercourse between homosexual relations and relations using contraceptives.
Intercourse becomes all about pleasure and not about pro-creation.

and

if intercourse is about pleasure only, that would open a door to experimental pleasure.

The Catechism, in discussing homosexual acts, has several things to say concerning the intrinsic immorality of such acts, only one of the several problems with the acts in themselves deals with procreation. I will underline that one problem below, but you can see the others here as well:

Catechism 2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,<Cf. Gen 191-29; Rom 124-27; 1 Cor 6:10; 1 Tim 1:10> tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.”<CDF, Persona humana 8> They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
The acts are abnormal - not normal, indeed "contrary to the natural law" - thus are "intrinsically disordered." God has created the two sexes to be complementary, each to the other, not just physically but emotionally and psychologically, all of which lead to the normal physical attraction. All this is by intentional design, on God's part.

You are absolutely right. The acceptance of contraception only led to the acceptance of homosexuality (and abortion). I wonder what's next.

Yes, both contraception and homosexuality close the possibility for life. I guess my question would be: is there a link between the widespread acceptant of contraception and the normalization of homosexuality? Are they Correlated? Causations? Coincidence?

You are on to something. And yet I’m not sure how to statistically prove direct correlation or causality.

Contraception, destroying the fertility and potency of sex, is about the same in effect as what two men accomplish or two women accomplish. Logically they have the same sterile result. Contraceptors have no place to stand complaining about alternate sexualities and I think they know it.

Do you know of any good sources/data/studies on this issue?

Yes! St. Paul took a very revealing poll about 2000 years ago. His data collected responses from three Persons, and they agree on the following analysis:

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth.
Rom 1:19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
Rom 1:20 Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;
Rom 1:21 for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened.
Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles.
Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
Rom 1:25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural,
Rom 1:27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.
Rom 1:28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct.
Rom 1:29 They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
Rom 1:32 Though they know God's decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them.

The connection is made clear, and the poll irrefutable - all agreed, whose "opinions" really count.

Surely you can find where it can be included in the list:
Rom 1:29 They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
-- (Any sin can be included in "all manner of wickedness".)

In other places, as in Galatians 5:20, the work 'pharmakia' is used. It is typically translated as 'sorcery' but I think the more proper use would be 'making potions' as in making potions for abortion, for contraception, and other purposes. Christians were not to be making potions. I do not think this rules out all modern medical drugs, but I do think it ruled out the very common ancient use of contraceptives and chemical abortions.

I remember that one actually effective potion was made from the dung of Nile crocodiles. I suspect it caused an infection severe enough to cause sterility. Anyhow, ancient contraceptives were a thing, and potions to that effect were common. They were forbidden for Christians, as they were implicitly forbidden for Jews, who together had a very different sexual ethic from the pagan world.

Yes. The Lambeth conference of 1930 which approved of contraception within the worldwide Anglican Communion. It then influenced other Protestants to accept contraception, and finally the Orthodox Churches to accept contraception. This led to the approval of other immoral sexual acts.

Yes they both "close the possibility for life", and perhaps equally to the point, they both open the door to self-gratifying pleasure, while closing the door to life and responsibility to the other. The "it's all about ME" - the prime moral blindness - it is an idolatry of Self - opens the door wide to any and all kinds of sin - as Paul pointed out in the passage I cited above :
Rom 1:28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct.
Rom 1:29 They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

Notice also in the train of tragic consequences of this sin, "God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct." Rationality itself is radically impaired by the radical break from God/Truth Himself - as we can see, to our astonishment, today's insane denial of biology, anatomy, physiology and common sense that have entirely "subjectivised" human sexuality into Self-defined "gender." The denial of reality itself - or "wokeness" - has wrapped human awareness not into a cocoon of new life and "freedom", but a shroud of death. Self-deification is a contradiction, the path of suicide.

My father wrote his PhD thesis in sociology around a similar topic, mainly arguing that contraception was a central element in the changes in sexual trends in developed secular societies gradually shifting towards less and less fertile, unstable, short-term, relationships centered around sexual gratification (a process sometimes referred to as the second demographic transition. E.g. see: THE SECOND DEMOGRAPHIC TRANSITION THEORY: A Review and Appraisal). This includes the acceptance and spread of non-monogamous and non-heterosexual activities and arrangements.
While it is rather well-informed and shows some interesting co-occurrences, it fails to show the existence and extent of causality (of course, this is hardly ever possible in sociology). I can send you a copy of the thesis, although its in Hungarian.

Look up the Lambeth 1930 Conference..it's when the Anglican Communion first accepted contraception. All Protestant denominations then followed. Soon, the Orthodox Church followed (with the exception of the Russian Orthodox Church IIRC). Only the Roman Catholic Church, Russian Orthodox Church, some anabaptists (such as Amish) and Orthodox Jews (with exceptions) forbid artificial contraception.

Avoiding Church was the first step.

Sacraments infer graces to overcome.
Obedience to Church infuses graces.

So in the land of the fallen, one vice begets another.
