This thread is for people to discuss whether the message of a film justifies the content or vice-versa.
Examples:
Fargo (1996) - Iffy Content/ Good message
Content - Swearing, violence, sex and drinking.
Message - Be thankful for what you have, don't be greedy, someone's tongue can show the content of their heart (Matthew 12:33-35) and be good.
Tomorrowland - Good Content/ Iffy Message
Content - Fun adventure with some violence.
Message - Only creative/ unique people deserve to survive, we can escape the end of the world and it is sweet for a grown man to be in love with a teenage girl.
